- About Me
- My name is Cecily, and silvershoe.com is my personal web space, established March 2000. I started this site right after the big “weblogs panel” of SXSW 2000 and wrote regularly for 3 years. I stopped writing at silvershoe.com shortly after my dad passed away in 2003. I didn’t feel comfortable writing about anything or sharing what I was going through at that time. It was too overwhelming and it somehow didn’t feel right. I tried making other blogs, published elsewhere on the web, with different names, but none of them “took.” I just wasn’t into it anymore. The site was offline for about 5 years.
