- The name is Christel, I am in the second half of my twenties. I'm a registered nurse working in the south-west of England. I'm a part-time student studying towards a MSc in Forensic Psychology. People often refer to me as trouble. My religious affiliation is Jedi. I vote Liberal Democrats. I listen to all types of music; classical, metal, punk, trance/house, rock, punk, pop, country. I don't watch TV much but when I do I tend to enjoy dorky shows such as Dr Who, Spaced, Black Books, Futurama, Invader Zim, The Simpsons, League of Gentlemen, American Dad and similar. I am a fluffy feminist. I belly dance, I snowboard, do pilates and I do paintballing, I like pain, in moderation. I am addicted to strong, bitter black coffee. I am part of the Irssi Core Team, I am a Gentoo developer, I am one of the chief maintainers of the Livejournal in Norwegian project, I am a senior staffer on the IRC network Freenode. I am a safe space maintainer for VP; a body positive community for women boasting 11K+ members. I am one of the founders of the sexual health type educational place; Sexipedia. I have a massive crush on Patrick Stewart aka Captain Jean-Luc Picard (he makes me want to let him insert it). I have many passions, including (but not limited to) books (all sorts of books, I love reading; be it terry pratchett or dostojevski), computers, technology, the internet, I have a particular interest in retro computing. I am a shameless flirt. When I was a nursing student I sold Sex Toys for a living. My dream date would take me out for a day watching F1. I am a geek. I've been a GNU/Linux user for 13 years, I also use BSD and have the BSD daemon tattooed on my spine. I struggle to pronounce words starting with the letter 'v' and my friends find it most amusing to make me repeatedly say things like 'nuclear vessels' or 'vaseline is very versatile'. The smell of Fahrenheit on a man makes my nipples stiff and I feel this instant need to run after them [the men] and rip their clothes off. I adore my friends. I am an excellent cook, I dreamt of becoming a russian spy when I was a little girl, I talk too much. I can't spell. I believe that orange is the new pink. I am afraid of spiders and the idea of having children. I loathe the texture of peas. I like people to know me, I like people to not know me more. I contradict myself. I agree, but I disagree. I want too much. I like to recieve letters, I don't like writing them. I write them anyway. I am impatient. I am vain. I am scared of choices. I get mad crushes. I brush my teeth using colgate toothpaste, the sparkly one.. for children. I know that the true way of figuring out ones bra size is by trying on dozens. I love the smell of vanilla. I like honesty and bluntness. I have never broken a bone. I love thunderstorms. I enjoy playing Trivia. I have green eyes. I am fairly tall (5'10") I like challenges. I believe that a room full of strangers is a room full of potential friends. I am terrified of commitment. I am curious. I am impulsive. I am easily confused, rather complex and on occasion I even do cute.
