The personality of the Skulls at NIU is much like the personality of NIU. Most of the Skulls come from working class, middle class, and upper middle class families in the Chicago area. Their Parents are Fireman, Policemen, Union Tradesmen, Teachers, Business managers, Sales & Marketing executives, Information Technology Executives, Accountants, Lawyers, and Small Business Owners.
Like all NIU students many of the Skulls came to NIU to better their life. In High School they might not have the Highest SAT or ACT scores nor were they Blue Chip athletes, however they were good students & athletes who believed if you work hard, play hard, and have positive attitude you can accomplish anything in life.
We are not like your stereotypical Frat guy. Skulls all have their own individual personality & identity we all don't look the same & wear the same clothes.
