- The LOLcat translator project started from a question, "can we make a LOLcat translator for generic English text?". In contrast to available translators of English to various lingos, such a task would require extraction of generic rules for converting English phrases. This aim was eventually proved to be feasible and resulted to the LOLcatizer translation engine.
