Oakville Cosmetic Dentist Dr. Stephen Phelan graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry in 1992. Dr. Phelan is one of only 250 dentists worldwide to have received Accredited Member status in the prestigious American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and is one of a very small percentage of dentists to have passed this process on the first attempt. Dr. Stephen Phelan has dedicated his career to enhancing people's lives both aesthetically and functionally by implementing the advanced continuing education and training he has received over the past ten years. Oakville Cosmetic Dentist Dr. Phelan has spent hundreds of hours traveling across the continent to train with some of the best dentists in the world including Drs. John Kois, Frank Spear, Peter Dawson, Jimmy Eubank, Jeff Morley, Bill Strupp, Buddy Mopper and Newton Fahl. Dr. Phelan is also a member of the Canadian Dental Association and the Toronto Crown and Bridge Study Club, and he gave a presentation to the members last year on provisional techniques for porcelain veneers. Dr. Phelan is also a member of the Toronto Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and serves as a mentor for its study groups.
Dr Phelan is the author of numerous articles on techniques in esthetic dentistry that have been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals such as the Canadian Dental Association Journal and The Journal of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He has also lectured locally and internationally on the subject of esthetic dentistry.
Oakville Cosmetic Dentist Dr. Phelan has been in private practice in Oakville, Ontario, Canada since August, 1992 and has limited his practice to aesthetic, restorative and implant dentistry as well as the treatment of TMD and bruxism. He has been a sponsor for numerous local community charities, fundraisers and a variety of minor hockey teams.
