In 1918 Henry Cooper Smith founded Smiths Auctions in Christchurch, New Zealand. Then known as The City Market, they auctioned grain, produce, livestock and general goods.
Seventy-three years later his grandson Colin Smith and long time Auction Manager Robert Hunter took over the running of Smiths Auctions.
As owners and auctioneers, Robert and Colin continue the tradition of service that has made Smiths Auctions the trusted name in auctions.
