- Born in Portland Oregon in the late 50’s, to fourth generation Oregonians he had the rare opportunity to see the wild places before they where spoiled forming his earliest childhood memories. Special places past from generation to generation before urban sprawl and all its requirements touched nature. He has been a naturalist, artist and photographer since his preteen years and has always had a special interest in the ocean and the natural places that surround it. He has visited many of these remote places from the water by kayak or boat as reflected in his paintings and stories.
