Description
Snow Country was born in the summer of 1968 at 3122 Monroe Ave. The staff during the first year consisted of four full-time people and 15 part-time employees. Today, the shops are staffed by 20 full-time and over 130 part-time people during the ski season.
In July, 1982, we took over the Tennis Pro Shop at the Mid-Town Athletic Club located at 200 East Highland Drive. This additional outlet made us the retail leader of tennis sales in the Rochester area.
In April 1987, we moved our main store to Pittsford Plaza with a 20% larger retail store in a 13,000 square foot building with warehouse and corporate offices.
