Description
The SoCal Dawgs has been an informal Football Watching Fan Club for many years in the Southern California Area. In 2001, a few of the core fans decided to formalize the organization and the Official SoCal Dawgs were born.
Executive Committee: The SoCal Dawgs Executive Committee began meeting in early 2001 in order to formalize the SoCal Dawgs Alumni & Fan Club. The committee developed the mission statement and logo. The committee has worked with University Officials in hope to get recognized as a strong support group of UGA. The committee has worked to find a regular home for the club to socialize and host football viewing parties, as well as hosting other events. The committee is responsible for organizing and planning events and for contacting potential members.
The Executive Committee for the 2001-2002 year meets to watch the Diamond Dawgs in the 2001 College World Series and continues planning our club. From Left to Right, Melanie Brown, Robert Machen, Don Joel, Chuck Henry, Ken Feinberg, & Jamye Starr.
