Socrato
Socrato (www.scorato.com) - "Test Preparation Getting Smarter" - provides web-based, state-of-the-art test preparation and assessment tools for students at all levels, including those preparing for professional exams. Socrato gives users immediate test results as well as pin points the exact areas they need to improve in, saving them valuable study time. Socrato also enables easy test preparation content publishing and sharing i.e., a constantly updated, wide variety of tests, test solutions, class notes etc. from other users.
Socrato also allows groups of students, tutors, teachers, and entire school systems to create Study Groups through which they can enroll students and monitor their progress over time. Socrato’s Group Reports allow them to easily discern each student’s specific learning needs and trends. Based on these analytics, students, tutors, teachers, and administrators can tailor their plans for each student, class, or grade, resulting in higher scores.
Focused on making learning and test preparation more efficient and transparent, Socrato alpha was launched in 2007. Based in the greater Boston area in Massachusetts, Socrato currently supports exams like MCAS (Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment Test), SAT, GRE, the US Citizenship Test and offers other learning tools, e.g., a vocabulary builder.
