Artists I'm considering edit
These are the artists that I'm thinking about commissioning to illustrate some of the core concepts of SolSeed. You got any other recommendations for me?

This is a great idea! Personally, I see something compelling in the Alex Grey images. I also like the "Gaia" image, as well as the one on the bottom of the page. --Kevin | talk 16:35, 16 March 2008 (PDT)
Concepts edit
- SelfLove, Empathy, and Wisdom all depicted in a single illustration.
- If you remove the part of the image that evokes the concept of SelfLove, the remaining two evoke apathy and depression
- If you remove the part of the image that evokes the concept of Empathy, the remaining two evoke exploitation and domination
- If you remove the part of the image that evokes the concept of Wisdom, the remaining two evoke chance, mistakes, flapping without flight
Inspirations edit
These are images that I find inspiring. I'd like to commission something that captures the energy of Sol, the vibrant body of all life that is Gaia, the core concept of emergence, and the notion of seeding the galaxy. If a single piece can't accomplish all these at once, I'd be happy with an image that can evoke at least two of them. I'm happy to explore very different styles and interpretations.
Gaia edit
I like this one because it is so verdant and fertile. I also really like the feminine energy. I couldn't figure out who the artist is? Anyone know?
Starseeds edit
I like this one because it indicates life radiating from a core. If it were more evocative of Sol and warm energy I would like it even more.
Evolution of Life edit
I like this one because of its progression. Starting at the topleft we work through the big bang, the naked planet, organic molecules, simple life, complex life, human life, and a future in the stars.
