Introduction to Sola Gratia Ministries
Sola Gratia Ministries exists to (1) spread the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to a lost world (Matt 28:19; Lk 24:47), (2) provide a ready resource for those who feel a burden to study God in a deep and personal way in order to come to a more mature understanding of the things of God (Eph 4:14-15; Titus 2:1; Heb 5:12-14), and to (3) provide a ready defense of the historic orthodox Christian faith (1 Pet 3:15). These goals are accomplished both individually in the daily personal lives of our staff members, and corporately as we gather together to utilize the medium of the Internet to impact the world at large.
We have been asked, on occasion, why we are developing three different web pages devoted to promoting New Covenant Theology, Covenant Theology, and Dispensationalism when each of these evangelical paradigms have conflicting views of redemptive history. Although it is true that each of these systems of theology have differences (particularly with regard to the degree of continuity and discontinuity each sees throughout God's revelation in Scripture), there are points of agreement among them that should not be overlooked as well. At any rate, Sola Gratia Ministries has staff members who adhere to each of these respective paradigms, and we have agreed to charitably disagree on certain issues and to progressively dialogue with each other on these matters so that we might come to a more precise understanding of God's purposes through redemptive history. Pursuant to this, we have agreed to cooperate within the broader framework of conservative evangelicalism and to unite our efforts in apologetics and evangelism based upon our more fundamental commitment to the essential principles of biblical truth that were emphasized and articulated during the Reformation (expressed in the five solas: Sola Gratia, Sola Fide, Solus Christus, Sola Scriptura, Soli Deo Gloria). As a result, we hope to offer the various pages promoting each view as a resource for visitors to study the differences among these systems in order that they too might come to a more mature understanding of the issues involved.
How You Can Help
Most importantly we ask that you remember us in your daily prayers - particularly that the Lord will continue to place a heavy burden on our hearts for the lost, and that we will each exhibit the type of evangelistic zeal that characterized the Apostle Paul's ministry. Additionally, we covet your prayers that the Lord will grant us wisdom as we publish theological works that we hope are edifying to the Body of Christ. Finally, please pray for those who are lost and deceived, and who contradict the truth of biblical Christianity - that the Lord will grant them repentance, that they might escape the snare of the devil (2 Tim 2:25-26).
