About The CentreThe Somali Centre for Family Services is a broad-based non-profit organization that enjoys very strong community support and is well respected by other service providers as well as funders. The centre was established in 1991 in response to a large influx of Somali newcomers to Canada. Initially, it was established to preserve Culture and Heritage, however, it quickly became apparent that the needs of the community were more in the realm of settlement, integration, and counseling.
