A Brief Guide to the Levels and Moors Partnership
The Levels and Moors Partnership (LAMP) was formed in 1995 in response to calls from local communities and interest groups for a new way of working with the Local Authorities and Government Agencies whose work affects the Somerset Levels and Moors.
Working Together
Working through Parish Councils and with local communities, the Partnership aims to promote good management of the Levels and Moors and the enjoyment and celebration of this unique working landscape by local communities and visitors. The Partnership has developed an influential voice for the rural communities and is able to advise partners how their plans and policies may affect local people and the stewardship of the area.
