Southland Opera is a non-profit public benefit corporation with the goal of bringing opera and musical theater to the widest variety of audiences. Our company was born from the notion that too many people among us, particularly our youth, have not experienced the allure and beauty of a live musical performance. Southland Opera is changing this predicament:
Southland performs lively, fully staged productions to patrons of all backgrounds. As a qualified 501(c)(3) organization, our emphasis includes educational outreach performances brought to public and private schools, libraries, churches, clubs and the community at large. We strive for fresh and exciting renditions of classic and popular stories. Additionally, we often introduce productions with a vital social message or theme to impart upon the audience.
