The Modern Western Square Dance and Round Dance Clubs in the Rochester Area Federation was started in 1958 to promote square dancing and coordinate square dance and round dance activities in the region. The area has expanded to from Buffalo on the west to Auburn on the east and from Lake Ontario on the north to Dansville (Dalton) on the south.
