Stephen Gaskin was convener of Monday Night Class at San Francisco's Family Dog. He also led a Caravan of 50 schoolbuses around the USA, and founded the Farm intentional community in Summertown, Tennessee. He is also the founder of the Farm’s overseas relief and development organization, Plenty, for which he received the first Right Livelihood Award, called in Europe the Alternative Nobel Prize. He is the author of a dozen books, and is currently working on his autobiography.
