Stitch Diva Studios has been called a "Company to Watch" (Yarn Market News/May 2005) and we've been aptly described as offering "well-written knitting and crochet patterns for hipsters."
When she learned to crochet, she was disappointed with the lack of fresh, young and modern patterns available. She started to make her own patterns, inspired by current trends and her own imagination. Her background in architecture and information technology gives her both a unique design sensibility and the expertise to communicate complicated concepts clearly in well-written, easily understood instructions. She is passionate about the craft, and wants to contribute to the joy you'll find in creating beautiful things. Her work has been featured in Vogue Knitting, Family Circle Easy Crochet, Knit.1, Knitty, Spun, INKnitters, Crochet Fantasy, Yarn Market News and fashionUK. Her patterns and writings have also been featured in various book publications.
Her earliest and most comforting memory is of her grandmother crocheting. With the birth of her own children, she returned to her grandmother's art when she wanted to have something made with her own hands to give her sons. Her Gypsy heritage and work in the family engineering business meld in her original crochet designs that are at once sparkly, flamboyant and brilliant in their streamlined construction. Her work has been featured in INKnitters and Crochet Fantasy.
