Description

Stone Meadow Kennel is a small kennel located on a scenic 30 acres hill top in Johnson City, New York. Stone Meadow is owned and operated by Mary Cummings, who puts 30 years of dog experience into the care of our K-9 guests.

Mary has trained and titled dogs in schutzhurd, tracking, obedience, agility and conformation. Mary has also trained dogs for modeling and film work and enjoys teaching her own dogs a variety of tricks. Her German shepherd Am/ Can Ch. Alkarah's the Tempest Am/ Can CD, NA, CGC, TDI, TT, HIC was high scoring champion in agility at the 2001 German Shepherd National Specialty. Her Australian Shepherd Am/ Can Ch. Gemini Winter Haven's Phar Lap CD, CGC, TT was ranked #3 aussie in Canada in conformation in 1997 and #17 aussie in the USA in 2000 owner handled. In addition to her passion in dogs, Mary enjoys homeschooling her step-daughter Kelly, and her son Zane. Mary also enjoys drawing and taking her dogs to Therapy vists.

interest in dogs at a very early age. She successfully started training and showing dogs at the age of 6. Now at age 12 Kelly is a accomplished trainer and handler. Her accomplishments include many junior showmanship wins, several finished champions, qualified for the Eukanuba Cup in 2003 & 2004 & 2005 also qualifying for Westminster and going best junior at the 2004 Beagle National Specialty. Kelly enjoys grooming and training her own dogs as well as helping in the kennel. She is currently training her beagle Ch. Eagle Ridge Captain America in agility and rally obedience. Kelly is a "A" student and enjoys gymnastics and dance.
