StonePicture was founded in 2003 by Netdorm, Inc. based in Cincinnati, Ohio. StonePictures are the artistic interpretations of your photograph hand-etched into polished granite. They are customized based on your specifications and design by skilled artists. Our goal is to provide a wonderful product that you, your relatives and your friends can treasure forever at a reasonable price. We are proud of products, our relationship with our customers and believe that high quality products and good services generate good businesses.
StonePicture hires many experienced artists at our processing center in China to create Stone Pictures. These artists are well trained in fine arts and sculptures. They must first apprentice under a master artist for at least three years. A student artist must work hard and prove his/her skills before being assigned to produce finished Stone Pictures. The features in the face are the hardest part to create and a special adamantine chisel is used. The skills needed to correctly and precisely create the face and eyes as an art form are taught through practice and careful studies. An artist makes thousands of chisel marks to create a finished Stone Picture. If an error occurs during the process, the stone is destroyed and a new stone will be used.
The core business at StonePicture is capturing people or pets in stone. They are our most popular items and we can customize to meet your needs. If you can take a picture of it, we can carve it onto stone for you. We can fit up as many people as you want in one stone picture and the size can be up to any size you want by customize orders.
