I was riding a bus downtown today and saw your flag hanging on the side of an apartment building. I remember visiting your city of Beruit over five years ago. After 3 decades your war-torn cities had begun to heal and now overnight your militant neighbors have torn it apart again. I want to say I am sorry… sorry that my tax dollars support a militant military that is killing your civilians, bombing your bridges, your petrol stations, your residential neighboorhoods, and your children and calling it acts of self defense. I am sorry that the prime minister of Canada (where I am residing) is supporting these actions along side my own president (USA). This breaks my heart. I wish my words could be a shield against Israeli missiles and international apathy.
