- Storm Enterprises, the company my wife Mary and I run, is housed in our home on a mountain. We live on a road called Stormy Lane which leads up to our place, Stormy Acres. Why all the storm? We moved onto our property in September 96'. It consisted of a trailer and a large 'unibomber' type structure. We promptly got 4' of snow in two days. The plow broke down after the first storm. We ended up getting 28' of snow over the winter. We had to walk the 3/4 mile down to the truck because it wouldn't make it in to the house even with chains on all 4 tires. We survived the 30 year winter but that's why we call it Stormy Acres.
