I have a co-worker who collects records mainly of the novelty and oldies variety and stumbled across this at a garage sale recently. He figured it was more up my alley than his and he was correct. Beaver was Tom Lyle’s band pre-Goverment Issue and they released their lone EP back in 1981. The quality’s so-so with some weak production and cleaning the record from some of the pops and dings all over it degraded the music a bit as well.Track six is a little hacked due to a scratch on the record. I did what I could but it’s not the best recording ever made. No matter the condition, I’m happy to have a GI-related record on my record shelf.

Ticket info on the Touch and Go Records 25th Anniversary shows has been released. Man, if I could only get my ass to Chicago! This is an amazing lineup.

There’s not much I could say about my favorite band that can’t be found on their Unofficial Website. Suffice to say that being a Fall fan means owning more records than you can possibly imagine, including a ton of live ones that they release to make some quick cash. This bootleg is from 1984 and was recorded in Munich. The title is “C.R.E.E.P. Show” and the quality’s excellent. Pulling a lot from “Perverted By Language”, the surprise is Ludd Gang, not a song that appears in many of their shows.
