Striped-Bass-Fishing.com was created to bring striped bass fisherman from across the USA together to promote sportsmanship, sharing of information and to heighten awareness of issues impacting striped bass fisherman or the striped bass fishery.
Our website, which was started in Late December of 2004 is created and spearheaded by Andy Derrick, a Columbia, SC native who has a passion for striped bass fishing and computer technology. With over 40 years of fishing experience, 20+ years in the computer industry and with a vast experience in developing websites, I wanted to bring together my two favorite passions (ugggh-oh actualy the Mrs is Number 1) and provide a unique platform for fisherman, clubs, organizations and specialty tackle companies to participate in.
Our website quickly became rich in features with an extensive set of forums that allow image uploading, spell checking and a calendar for each forum. Additional steps have been taken to protect members from spammers as well as dealing with automated bots who post spam on message boards. We even have a forum dedicated to helping members keep their PC clean of spyware and help them better deal with some of the issues they are exposed to as they surf the web.
