- The StudyResponse project facilitates online research for behavioral, social, and organizational science researchers by distributing email participation requests to adult research participants. The StudyResponse project accumulates the characteristics and outcomes across research studies in order to explore the features of studies that encourage quality responding. A research project hosted by Syracuse University, The StudyResponse Center for Online Research has facilitated over 250 research projects from universities in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. Instead of collecting money from corporations, StudyResponse facilitates online research for academic researchers by distributing survey requests.
We are not a marketing company. Our lists are never made available to marketing companies or organizations who wish to offer additional products or services. We send messages about studies and only studies.
In order to compensate participants for their time, we provide incentives in the form of raffles for Amazon gift certificates. The average prize is $70! We have thousands of panelists from the United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, India, and New Zealand to name a few. For those residing in other countries, we offer certificates through Amazon’s international affiliate sites. Some researchers choose to provide direct payments to each participant who is involved in a study.
When you register for StudyResponse, you will be asked to provide some basic information about yourself, such as your name, age, ethnicity, and occupation. This information will be used for research and compensation purposes only. StudyResponse acts as a remailer; that is, researchers tell us what they would like to do, and we e-mail participants on their behalf.
When you receive an invitation, it will be from StudyResponse on behalf of an academic researcher. StudyResponse studies are anonymous: researchers can not obtain access to your email address or any personally identifiable information.
Participating in research offers an additional benefit: the opportunity to take part in and review the results of innovative academic research from top universities. As a research participant, you can request a report of the research in which you participated.
