40 years ago on the 28th April 1966, a dream was made reality when my grandfather Roy Beatty, with a team of four including his daughter (my aunt) Madeline Kilbride, who herself took over as Managing Director in 1975, commenced trading as Sunway.
On Madeline’s retirement in 1998 it was my turn to take the reins. Since it’s inception, Sunway has grown from strength to strength.
Today The Sunway Travel Group employs over 100 staff and features over 45 destinations worldwide (more than any other tour operator in Ireland), from some of the finest 5 star hotels in the world to self catering apartments in countries as diverse as The Caribbean and Asia to the best resorts in Europe.
