SUSTEL is a two year research project on teleworking financed by the European Commission's IST initiative. It involves collaboration between seven partners - Avanzi (Italy), BT (UK), Danish Technological Institute (DTI), Empirica (Germany), Telewerk Forum (Netherlands), University of Bradford (UK) and the project coordinator, the UK Centre for Environment and Economic Development (through its research unit, SustainIT). This will involve comparative research on organizations in Denmark, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and the UK. The work programme has five stages:
2. Field work (June-December 2002) - case studies of the sustainability impacts of six organizations, plus a survey of teleworkers, in each partner country.
