The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW) organization was created by the Grand Army of the Republic (Union veterans) in 1881 to preserve the memory of the Grand Army and of all the Union soldiers, sailors and marines who saved this country in 1861 to 1865. The SUVCW is a Congressionally-chartered Corporation and is the recognized and legal heir to the Grand Army of the Republic. The SUVCW Web site offers information for our members as well as information for the general public.
