Switch2Save was established in 1996 by Mark Quibell, a 36 year old entrepreneur/ utility management specialist from Birmingham, in the West Midlands. When we entered the market, our main aim was to help householders find the cheapest gas supplier - the first utility to be deregulated - from a broad selection of primary UK energy suppliers. However, we soon found that a growing number of businesses were contacting us daily asking for advice on energy management and general energy price savings.
To help meet this ever-growing demand from home and business users, we developed a 'one stop shop' website; allowing clients to easily compare the prices from all the leading utility suppliers and apply online - without the hassle of calling each individual supplier and becoming confused by the myriad of different tariffs, discounts and energy prices offered.
In the early years, we forged exceptional working partnerships with some of the UK's best gas and electricity suppliers and indeed, other utility brokers, including; The PowerSwitch, Consolidated Utilities, Northern Electric and Gas, Eastern Electric, Energylinx, telecom plus, Justdial-saver, southern Electric, British Telecom and British Gas… to name just a few. While we still work closely with these brokers, and indeed ALL of the other utility suppliers, we are, and always will be, totally independent.
