Let us introduce ourselves. We are the Daugherty's: Jeff, June, Robert, Daniel, Mallory & Christina ("Teenie"). Our 28 acre farm is located in Bullitt County, Kentucky just south of Louisville. There is plenty of space to roam, woods to hike in and water to canoe on (we border the Salt River).
God blessed us with the purchase of our farm in November of 2001 at auction. Since then we have been cleaning up, throwing away and preparing to begin life as new farmers. We researched different ideas and names for our farm during 2002. We finally settled on Sycamore Ridge Farm and began our adventure with alpacas. The spring of 2003 was spent repairing the barn and fencing for our new alpacas that arrived in April. By midsummer we realized God had blessed us with an opportunity to share our farm with others. We kicked off our new farm business with an Open House in September 2003. We are now able to host parties for groups of any size and school groups are welcome to come visit to learn more about farm life. Contact us soon to schedule a party or field trip. This past year we added a new Farm Store. We opened just in time for the Christmas season. We will also be hosting classes every couple of months where you will be able to learn a new craft.
