Description
Trading commenced in January 1967 from a rented premises in Box Hill. The main activity in the early years centered around the heating and air-conditioning industries as well as providing electrical control systems and installation. We initially commenced sales of controls for these industries, primarily as a distributor. We proceeded to establish direct agency links with overseas manufactures.
In the early seventies, the Company became actively involved in the natural gas industry as a supplier of gas safety valves and associated equipment. When we became the Australian agent for Gastechnic GmbH, it was an important milestone in establishing the company as a major controls supplier to the gas industry. Complimentary agencies were added to the manufactures represented.
The end of the seventies saw a move to a new premises in Blackburn, owned not leased. These premises provided much larger office and warehouse space to accommodate the ever increasing turnover.
