If there is nothing telling it to do otherwise, a table of contents (TOC) will automatically appear on a WikiPage with three or more section headings. You may have noticed that most DomainPages do not have a table of contents, and you can see how this works by hitting the edit tab and scrolling to the very bottom. It is this "__NOTOC__" that removes the TOC.
- To remove the table of contents (TOC) that is automatic in MediaWiki's wiki software, add __NOTOC__ at the bottom of the page. Removing the __NOTOC__ will reinstate the TOC at the top left of the page.
- To move the table of contents to the right of the page, add {{RightTOC}} towards the top of your page where you would like to TOC to show up. This can be useful for talk pages or anywhere you would like to maintain the TOC, but to the right.
