Title

Fort Worth / Tarrant County A&M Club

Description

HOWDY!

The Fort Worth/Tarrant County A&M Club is considered one of the largest A&M clubs in the world by the Association of Former Students (AFS). This status is due to the number of Aggies in Tarrant County (over 9,000), as well as the level of support our Club provides to the AFS and to Texas A&M University. Our Club works closely with the AFS in promoting the Aggie Network, supporting Texas A&M and providing scholarships to deserving students. The Fort Worth/Tarrant County A&M Club held the 4th largest off-campus Muster in the world in 2002 and conducts the largest Silent Auction of any A&M club worldwide. Proceeds of this Silent Auction, which is held in conjunction with the annual Coach's Tour, benefit the Club's Scholarship Fund.

Our primary goal is to raise scholarship dollars for Tarrant County students to attend Texas A&M, as well as to foster the Aggie Spirit within Tarrant County through networking, activities and events, and community service. Over the last 12 years, the Club has provided over $200,000 in academic scholarships to deserving Tarrant County students attending A&M. The Club also financially supports numerous organizations on the Texas A&M campus.

The Fort Worth/Tarrant County A&M Club was officially charted in 1931. The Club is now a non-profit/tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) organization.
