Welcome to the new TechIMO.com! If you're a frequent visitor to tech enthusiast sites, you might recognize my name. I founded SysOpt.com in 1994 and served as Editor-in-Chief of SysOpt until September 2001, when I became a casualty of budget reductions. But because I believe so strongly in the value of communities like the great one that I helped to form over there, I decided to launch a site under my own company, All Enthusiast, Inc.
I should start out by explaining the name, TechIMO. It's "Tech", as in tech, and "IMO", as in "in my opinion". That's right, this is the site where your opinion, not just ours, is paramount. We aim to bring you tons of timely news, forums, a feature rich original photo gallery application that I developed personally, user contributed reviews, ratings and reviews of online retailers, and much more. Many of those features have been implemented now - look for others to follow within the coming days and weeks ahead.
And you'll probably recognize many familiar faces here as forum moderators and community contributors. Please join the community as we embark on a bit of a new adventure here at TechIMO.com!
