Teapotters.com is the first website dedicated to Real-time 3D Sharings. Teapotters.com relies on 3D Web display technologies, 3D search & indexing and other real-time 3D server technologies dedicated to online communities. Teapotters.com aims to popularize 3D displays and sharings all over the web (through websites, communities, blogs, etc.).
Teapotters.com is a "Friday Creative project" backed by some of Dassault Systemes' innovative technologies, and lead by a passionately fond of 3D team. Our goal is to make 3D available for everyone and everywhere on the web.
"To teapot" means create & share 3D according to Martin Newell's spirit - as he created the first free 3D model in 1974, the famous Teapot for the new 3D community that was just born. Our dream is to make this website the daily meeting point for 3D users and passionates. This should help and lead them to find ideas, materials for their demos & scenes, and also let them consume, create and share more 3D.
We have set up a licensing system, which allows each user to share his 3D models for free if others download them for non-commercial uses. Of course, users can choose to share, or not, the source files and to use Teapotters.com as a 3D displays Web service (only in order to display their 3D productions on websites or blogs etc).
