Sam began collecting pins in 1996 during the Atlanta 1996 Olympics. This was a natural extension of coin and stamp collecting. Sam hosted the Athens Pin Shows at Trumps and the Varsity that year. The internet was a much smaller place back then and Sam saw a niche for pin collecting. He developed one of the first web sites on the internet to actually show images of pins for sale and trade. Most sites in that day were text only. TeamPins.com became the fastest growing and largest site of it's kind on the web. Sam's interest in pin collecting motivated him to seek out the best quality pins as well as rare and hard-to-find pins from all over the world.
The mission became one to provide thousands of different types of quality collectible pins for customers to choose from and enjoy. We decided against trying to sell promotional products, coffee mugs or t-shirts. This is a collector's site. When you spot an item on this site, it's here because of it's collectibility.
