AboutUs.org has a wiki page for almost every website on the Internet. When we create these pages, we use a template that has fields to hold different kinds of information about each website. Some of these fields are filled out automatically, and some of the automatically included information can be edited by people. We also include sections that are specifically intended for people to fill out, whether it's the owner of the website or someone else who's familiar with what the website does, or what it stands for.
We do not expose template AboutUs wiki pages to search engines until they contain enough good content to make them useful to site visitors. That content can be provided either by our technology or by a person, or both.
Our technology reports to us when someone edits a page -- however, it never hurts to tell us! If you take the time to edit an AboutUs page about a website, make sure we know. Please email us at so we can index the pages you've edited.
