The Lovingood Family has loved horses for over 40 years. Our father, Dr. Frank Lovingood (left, 1956), bought our first horses in the early fifties and, by the sixties, we were showing American Saddle Horses in local and regional horse shows. See photo at right.
Growing up on the family farm of 400 acres instilled a great appreciation for the rural way of life that continues to this day. Our goal is to help maintain the farmlands of Blount County by encouraging equine industry and recreation. The Lovingood Springs Farm equestrian facility was born with this concept in mind.
Barn construction began in early 1999 and was finished late in the year. Miles of trails have been constructed and the log cabin has been renovated for groups and special events. Of course we will always be busy improving and expanding the facility.
