1994 - How It All Began
When Data Foundry launched nearly a decade ago as Texas.Net, the Internet technologies we take for granted today - e-mail, Web sites and other online communications - were in various stages of taking hold in the corporate world. Across the country, networks were still being built, and few people imagined how the Internet would soon transform the way we conduct business every day.
But Data Foundry's founders did. And so, in 1994, we set out to do something quite remarkable: with $10,000 in personal funds, we brought the Internet to Texas - and in doing so became the first Internet Service Provider in San Antonio, Texas. We were profitable our first quarter and have been profitable ever since.
