The Clark Building - Downtown Pittsburgh
Description
Construction on the Clark Building began in 1927. Named for MGM founder James Bly Clark, the site quickly became a business and relaxation center for nationally famous film magnates. The building served as a screening area for many early MGM films, and Warner Brothers' regional office was located in the penthouse suite.
Architectural experts have long admired the decor of the Clark Building - including marble hallways, window moldings and brass elevators. For over 75 years the building's 23 floors have housed jewelers, offices and specialty shops.
