Deadly Nightshade shows strong examples of not a regular generic websites of the anime design, but of a strong personal website. In a few of many, personal websites are among the preferred because they are custom, designed to the like of a person and not about aims. These websites are more free in designs and with a strong backbone community it makes them an honor to visit. Most personal websites, well, most websites in general have their theme, design, appeal and look related to their title. Deadly Nightshade not only does this, but is welling to take risks. As many visit Deadly Nightshade they realize it is different then the average anime personal website, that it goes beyond. There has been experimentation for the better.

The name 'Deadly Nightshade' is referenced by Ai, the webmaster, to be a very poisonous plant that has purple bell shaped flowers and small black berries. The website states it is a symbol of danger, death and deception. Ai decided to name the website Deadly Nightshade because of the anime Perfect Girl Evolution (The Wallflower) and in the anime the main character had qualities of danger, death, and deception.
Ai wanted to make a template with the characters featured in Perfect Girl Evolution, so she did. When she finished making the template she decided she will make a website again, so hence...'Deadly Nightshade'.
