We have coaches for sports, drama and speech. There are now coaches to help executives learn managerial techniques. People with disabilities (PWDs) also benefit from learning techniques and approaches from an expert, and there are currently no professions or organizations that offer this “coaching” service. Learning useful techniques can go a long way in handling difficult situations and feelings for people with disabilities.
We have motivational speakers addressing groups of salespeople and corporate CEOs, as well as school boards and churchgoers. Do you know of very many motivational speakers who seek out speaking engagements directed at PWDs and address the psychological and emotional aspects of disability?
