Before computers and Internet sales became so popular, everyone shopped in retail stores. In the South most household entertaining is done in the kitchen, and when kitchen islands became the new trend, the doors opened up for a new dining style. In 1982, we had friends and family searching for barstools to place at their island and were surprised there were few to be found. With a great deal of research we found manufacturers who designed barstools with many choices of finishes and fabrics in both wood and metal. After many months of searching for the right barstools and doing research, we realized the opportunity to open a retail store offering only barstools.

In 1984 we opened our first retail store offering 350 different styles of barstools. The concept grew quickly, and in 1994 we expanded our 5,000 square foot store to offer dinettes and home accessories. Many customers asked us to consider starting a web site because of their busy schedules and lack of time to shop from store to store. We decided to give our customers and friends what they wanted.

In 2003 we expanded again, bringing our customers the ability to purchase from the Internet by offering wonderful home decor, furniture, and accesories. With little overhead we have been able to offer our hand-selected lines at a lower price. We believe in passing our savings on to our customers.
