- O.K. So here’s the deal… I have been around theater since the mid 70’s. Most of my experience has been with non-professional community theater. Working with insanely small budgets has forced me to seek out well-designed products at reasonable prices. My employment (read "day job") allows me access to several manufacturers, so I finally decided to jump in and design some of my own stuff. I can have these things made and sell them out of my garage at rock bottom prices to others who face similar budget “challenges”. I figured that I would start out with “common” items like hinges, casters and safety cables. Basically, items that everyone needs, but normally has to pay too much for. If these work out OK, I have some stage winch and automation stuff that I would like to try my hand at "reinventing".
