Description
Jane Karakula holds a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Management from the University of Massachusetts and a Master’s Degree in Contemporary Theatre Practice from the University of Essex in Colchester, England. Prior to joining The Theatre Workshop in 2004, Jane was Associate Artistic Director for Actors Theatre of Nantucket. She has directed several memorable productions including Agnes of God, J(ACK), ‘night, Mother, After-Play, Three Tall Women, Frankie & Johnnie in the Claire de Lune, Grace & Glorie, Ashes to Ashes, Last of the Red Hot Lovers, The Exact Center of the Universe,The Odd Couple, Dinner with Friends, The Bald Soprano and My Old Lady. Shows in which she has acted with the No Theater of Northampton, MA won critical acclaim in San Francisco, New York City, Boston and Tokyo.
Pam is joint owner, president and Chief Financial Officer of Johnstons Cashmere at 4 Federal St., Cashmere, Inc in CT and Mallary Alfano at 32 Centre Street. She has been on the TWN board since 2001 and began acting for TWN, ATN, Uptown Players and the Short Play Festivals in 2002. She also serves on the 'Sconset Advisory Board to the HDC and the Traffic Safety Advisory Committee for the Town of Nantucket. Pam and her husband Finn have lived on Nantucket since 1990.
Peter has been a TWN Board Director since 1998. He is currently a Vice President. Peter also sits on the Board of Directors of The Nantucket Chamber of Commerce, is Vice President of The Nantucket Arts Council, and is on the Advisory Board of the Nantucket Lightship Basket Museum. Peter is also very involved with St. Paul's Church. When not working with these organizations, Peter volunteers his time with the Nantucket Historical Association, and Habitat for Humanity. Peter holds memberships with Rotary International, the Masonic Lodge, and Descendants of Whaling. Peter's professional career is with Nantucket Magazine, where he is the advertising director.
