Thornbury Musical Theatre Group began in 1968 as Thornbury Amateur Operatic Society with an Old Time Music Hall, performed at the Castle School in Thornbury. That same year, our first full production was Oklahoma, again at the Castle School. Later on, we began performing at the Armstrong Hall in Thornbury, which is where we perform to this date. In 1975 we staged our first pantomime, Aladdin and nowadays our yearly programme includes both a Pantomime and a main show . Occasionally we add a revue which we might perform around May/June and we are sometimes asked to put on small concerts for various charities or for traditional things around the town - for example the Arts Festival.
