ThreeHoops.com: the place to find informative & effective Indian Country info! ThreeHoops.com began services in 2001 as the all-volunteer effort of Wanda Jean Lord (Cherokee/Choctaw descent). In 2002, webdesigner Chris Coddington joined the all-volunteer work. Content at ThreeHoops comes from submissions by Tribal Nations, Native American Nonprofits and Small Businesses, from our members and visitors, from nonNative friends interested in helping Indian Country and our daily research. In 2004, ThreeHoops facilitated nearly $100,000.00 in in-kind donations to Native American community based efforts and Native owned businesses. In 2005, our Native American Advisors Board continue to provide guidance to our efforts as we pass 1 Million hits, serving tens of thousands of visitors annually.
ThreeHoops' research has shown that very little grantmaking or donations currently go directly to Tribal Nation initiatives, or directly to Native American nonprofits that are based in the Native communities they serve. In 2002 the percentage was probably less than 1/20 of 1% of national grantmaking. We encourage our members and visitors to consider donating directly to Tribal Nation initiatives to provide the most direct benefit to Native American people.
ThreeHoops LLC incorporated in 2005 in response to increasing requests for consulting from Tribal charitable entities, and Native American nonprofits, provides consulting to Tribal Nations and/or their charitable entities on a customized basis.
