Located in Box Hill, on the Carrington Road strip, Tien Dat was the first Vietnamese restaurant in Box Hill, serving many traditional dishes that are largely influenced by the flavors of North Vietnam Tien Dat first opened in 1983 by the Chu & Pham family and has remained within the family since. Huong Pham (Pam) currently owns the business; she took over from her mother in 1996, maintaining the reputation as one of the bustling ‘go to’ places for fresh and simple Vietnamese food.
