- I liked living in Nanoose Bay and didn't want to move. It was either retire or prepare to pull up stakes once again, so retirement was the obvious choice. "You can't retire unless you have something to go to!" was my wife's wise counsel and that led to enrolment in the Information Technology and Applied Systems program at Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo.
