Tammie grew up in Port Arthur Texas and is one of four siblings. Since about the age of nine is when her involvement in competitive and recreational sports began. These sports include track and field, basketball, softball, volleyball and cheerleading. In 1997 Tammie relocated to Tampa , Fl, and this is when she discovered her passion for fitness competitions. “I noticed a M&F cover with Sharon Bruneau and Lenda Murray on it and was in awe of their physiques and that is when I decided that I wanted to pursue fitness competitions.
